What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by asking for two forms of identification each time you log in to your Beforepay account. This helps ensure that only you can access your account 😁

Why do we use 2FA?

Passwords can be stolen, guessed, or leaked in data breaches. 2FA makes it harder for anyone else to access your account by requiring:

  • Something you know: your password

  • Something you have: a code sent to your mobile

Adding 2FA to the Beforepay log-in process helps keep your information safe and your account secure.

How do I set up 2FA?

Currently, you will be asked to set up 2FA if you add another bank in the Beforepay app.

Here are the steps for setting up 2FA:

  1. Go to the Profile tab in the Beforepay app.

  2. Tap on ‘Bank connections’.

  3. Tap ‘Add another bank’

  4. You will be prompted to ‘get started’ to enable 2FA.

  5. Enter your mobile number. We’ll send a verification code to this number.

  6. Enter the verification code sent to the mobile number you provided.

You’ll be sent a one-time code to enter each time you log back in to the Beforepay app.
