Why does Financial Pulse look different to my bank's own app?

Quick answer: Financial Pulse and your bank's app are built for different things. Your bank's app shows raw transactions and balances. Financial Pulse looks at patterns across 90 days, in only the accounts you've connected to Beforepay, to build a picture across five specific areas. It's normal for the two to look different.

It's normal for Financial Pulse to look different to what your bank's own app shows you, they're built to do different things.

Why is Financial Pulse different from my bank's spending insights?

Your bank's app usually shows a running list of transactions or a category-based spending breakdown, often over whatever period you select. Financial Pulse instead looks at 90 days of activity and builds a picture of your most current activity across five specific vitals: spending pace, cash buffer, income steadiness, short-term debt and bounce-back. Different lens, different picture, even from the same transactions.

Does Financial Pulse only look at the accounts I've connected to Beforepay?

Yes. Financial Pulse only reads activity in the bank accounts you've connected in the Beforepay app. If your bank's app is factoring in accounts you haven't connected here, that may be part of why the two views won't match.
